“Where do you see yourself in five years?”
Some days, you can barely answer what you want next weekend.
After divorce, big questions can feel heavy. Where will you live? Will you love again? What will family life look like?
You may think you need clear answers before you can move.
For now, choose one part of life you can act on.
Perhaps you want to trust your word. Speak more clearly. Spend less time alone. Handle a tense call with more care.
Choose one.
Then ask, “What would progress look like over the next thirty days?”
Make the answer something you can do.
“I will make one social plan each week.”
“I will pause before sending a heated reply.”
“I will practice stating a need without blame.”
Now give that action a time and a place.
Notice what gets in the way. Adjust when needed. Ask for help where you keep getting stuck.
You may still have sad days. You may miss the old life while learning how to live this one. Those feelings do not erase the choices you are making.
When you review the month, look for evidence.
What did you try? What did you learn? What will you repeat?
The next chapter becomes clearer as you take part in it.
A question to sit with: What could change in the next thirty days if you gave one important part of your life steady attention?
Your next step: Write one goal, one small action, and the date you will begin.
